Study Now is a leading education consultancy firm dedicated to assisting students in finding the best study opportunities worldwide. We work closely with universities, colleges, and other educational institutions to facilitate international students’ recruitment and admission process. We are committed to providing personalized support and guidance to our clients, ensuring they make informed decisions about their academic and career paths.
We seek an experienced and highly motivated Interim Country Manager in our Lagos Branch. Who will be crucial in maintaining a smooth and efficient office environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced setting. This role is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing operations in Lagos.
As a Country Manager, you will also engage with students on a minimal level, which includes Student Counselling and assisting these students on their academic journey.
Duration: 3 months Contract (leave Cover)
Working Hours – Monday – Friday (8am -4PM) or (9am – 5PM)
Location: Lagos, Abuja or Port Harcourt
Responsibilities
Supervise & Ensure individual and team performance targets are aligned to the agency’s monthly and annual recruitment goals.- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and build a culture of accountability and ambition.
- Manage day-to-day office operations across all Nigerian Branches.
Drive the delivery of monthly organic recruitment targets across all departments.- Oversee the full student journey from first contact through to enrolment, ensuring high conversion rates.
- Develop and execute outreach strategies targeting families in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Port Harcourt and beyond.
- Organise and attend meet-and-greet events, school fairs, and community sessions across Nigeria.
- Identify and pursue the growing segment of diaspora families returning to Nigeria from the UK and North America.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with secondary schools, universities, and educational institutions in Nigeria and the UK.
- Develop and manage a network of local agents, referral partners, and community organisations.
- Represent the agency at institutional meetings, parent events, and industry forums.
- Identify scholarship and promotional opportunities and feed these into the agency’s marketing pipeline.
- Explore and develop opportunities in neighbouring West African markets, particularly Ghana and francophone West Africa.
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team on LinkedIn Live sessions, open day promotion, and co-branded campaigns.
- Provide local market intelligence to shape content and targeting for Nigeria and the West Africa region.
- Champion the agency’s brand across all touchpoints, ensuring consistency and professionalism.
Report weekly and monthly on recruitment numbers, pipeline health, and team performance against targets.
- Contribute to the annual strategic planning process, providing market insight and growth recommendations for Nigeria.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to ensure the agency maintains a competitive edge.
- Work closely with counterparts in the UK, Kenya, and Türkiye to share best practice and coordinate cross-market activity.
Additional Key Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the education systems and study opportunities in US, UK, Canada, or Europe, including admission requirements, visa processes, and scholarship options.
- Familiarity with relevant educational institutions, courses, and programs in the target study destinations.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating successful outcomes in the field of overseas study consulting. • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for customer relationship management and data tracking.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in overseas study consulting.
- Strong problem-solving and Conflict resolution skills with the ability to provide tailored solutions to meet staff and individual student needs.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and thorough documentation of client interactions and applications.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of changes in the industry.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate client needs and participate in promotional events.
- Adherence to ethical standards and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines in the field of overseas study consulting.
- Experienced in handling a wide range of administrative duties and executive support related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision
Person Specification
Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in an administrative, management, or a related field- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or a related field.
- Knowledge of accounting, data, administrative management practices and procedures clerical practices and procedures.
- Significant experience in a senior management role, preferably with a background in business development and operations.
- Experience in developing internal systems.
- Demonstrate strong sales acumen and the capability to establish and nurture customer relationships.
- Possess excellent English language proficiency, enabling effective communication and presentation delivery in English.
- Thrive in high-pressure environments and demonstrate the ability to work towards and achieve targets.

Special Requirements
Able to undertake duties at different premises. Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours to effectively support the company’s operations and events. Travel may be required in order to attend conferences, events, new projects and effectively represent the Company in key networks.
