Overview

Duties
- Safely operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, cycle counting, and utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for precise tracking.
- Assist with order picking and packing using various tools such as order pickers and mechanical knowledge to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for quality, and properly storing items.
- Conduct stock stocking activities to maintain organized storage areas and facilitate efficient warehouse distribution processes.
- Follow OSHA safety standards diligently while handling heavy lifting tasks and operating heavy equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve inventory management practices, and ensure compliance with safety regulations like OSHA.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in inventory management, shipping & receiving, and materials handling.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment required for efficient warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (such as AS400) and RF scanners for inventory control and order processing.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or construction environments is a plus, demonstrating mechanical aptitude and safety awareness.
- Experience with order fulfillment processes including picking & packing, shipping logistics, and load & unload procedures.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols.
- Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous for roles involving team coordination or system oversight.
