Role Overview
The Software Project Manager will be responsible for guiding software initiatives from concept through delivery. This role blends project management with hands-on technical involvement, requiring close collaboration with engineering, systems, and internal stakeholders. Reporting directly to the CTO, the Software PM ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with user and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of software development projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Define project scope, timelines, resources, and success criteria in collaboration with internal teams.
- Translate user and business needs into functional software designs and technical requirements.
- Evaluate the feasibility of proposed solutions within budgetary and time constraints.
- Work directly with developers to design and build software applications based on defined specifications.
- Coordinate with internal and external engineers and programmers to ensure system compatibility and performance.
- Support testing, validation, and quality assurance efforts throughout the development process.
- Collect user feedback and assist in refining and improving software usability and functionality.
- Communicate project status, risks, and updates clearly to stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support product and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of professional experience in software development or engineering.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with C#.
- At least 2 years of experience working with SQL.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience developing iOS applications using Swift.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- This role is primarily hybrid, with work performed from a home office and occasional in-person meetings.
- A private, HIPAA-compliant home workspace is required to protect sensitive health information and support professional video meetings.
- Prolonged periods of desk and computer work are expected.
- Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 15 pounds) may be required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 – $110,000 annually
