About the role
As aResearch Assistant, you will work directly with the Zellow.ai product team to collect, build, validate, and expand our corporate data repository. Areas of focus include:
- Source and collect corporate data from national registries, government filings, data aggregators, and public databases withinAfrican jurisdictions.
- Clean, normalise, and consolidate datasets: corporate identifiers, address formats, directorships, shareholding links, global ultimate owners, and historical records.
- Help plan & monitor internal metrics: data completeness, anomaly detection rates, extraction accuracy levels.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Scrape public filings and directories (e.g., Nigeria CAC, CIPC)
- Clean/standardise company details, shareholding chains, etc
- Draft analytics briefs and slide summaries for team review
Essentials
- 1-2 years’ experience in data-driven roles (research, assistantship, Excel/CSV work)
Preferred Skills
- Firsthand experience with African corporate data or registry scraping
