We’re looking for reliable and customer-focused LGV Class 2 drivers to join our logistics team based in Royton. This role is about more than just driving — you’ll be representing the company at customer sites and helping ensure deliveries arrive safely, correctly, and on time.

What the role involves

You’ll be responsible for delivering chilled and ambient food products to a range of customer locations across the UK. The work includes multiple drops per shift and regular manual handling, so you’ll need to be physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Transporting goods in line with planned routes and delivery schedules
  • Ensuring all items are delivered in good condition and accounted for
  • Completing delivery paperwork, including notes, returns, and collections
  • Carrying out vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
  • Collecting empty trays, cages, or other equipment from customers
  • Following food safety, temperature control, and hygiene standards at all times
  • Complying with road traffic laws, driver hours rules, and workplace safety procedures
  • Taking part in end-of-shift debriefs and supporting the wider shift team when needed

Working hours

  • 48 hours per week
  • Shifts may include Saturdays and bank holidays
  • Overtime may be available depending on operational needs

Pay

  • £38,283.60 per year (including allowances)

What you’ll need

  • A valid LGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
  • A current Driver CPC qualification
  • Confidence driving large vehicles and delivering to different types of sites
  • A professional attitude and good communication skills
  • Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply
