HIRING – Fund Operations Analyst
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Compensation: Base pay ranges BTW N10m to N16m annually + other benefits.
About the Company: Our client is the asset management division of a leading investment management firm, providing services in capital raising, financial advisory, and asset management. The Company is fully licensed and regulated by the Securities and Exchange and plays a significant role in Nigeria’s financial markets, and is recognized for its strong contributions to the investment landscape.
The Company is seeking to hire an experienced Fund Operations Analyst to support its Asset Management team in both operational and commercial capacities.
This role will be responsible for overseeing and supervising all operational activities, ensuring that transactions are accurately completed, properly documented, and securely stored. In addition to operational duties, the role will also contribute to balance sheet growth by actively marketing and selling the company’s products and services. This will be achieved through a deep understanding of clients’ businesses and aligning their needs with the company’s offerings to deliver tangible value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and meet income targets in line with the set target determined at the beginning of the appraisal period.
- Effectively profile prospects/clients, analyze their needs and goals, and proffer solutions.
- Document and maintain complete, accurate information for all transactions.
- Creation of procedural and operations manual documents.
- Daily Reconciliation of ledger accounts.
- Supervision of all operational procedures.
- Analysis of current processes and controls providing ideas for implementation of enhancements.
- Creation of pro-active monitoring and alerting for our applications.
- Reduce risk exposure for the organization.
- Adequate experience in various financial products – shares, bonds, treasury bills etc.
- Preparation and submission of Regulatory report.
- Ability to use financial software and CRM
Key Requirements
- First degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar function within an asset management firm
- Proven experience in sales and marketing of investment products and services.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships, identify prospects, and convert leads into business opportunities.
- Strong proficiency in the use of relevant line-of-business solutions and Microsoft Excel.
- Deep understanding of capital market instruments, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative investments.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Independent, with excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Superior analytical and critical thinking skills; able to make sound decisions using complex data.
- High level of passion, integrity, creativity, inquisitiveness, and self-confidence.
