    POSITION OVERVIEW

    dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6AM – 2:30PM) Assembler I based in Reamstown, PA. The Assembler I is responsible for operating electric hoist, various handheld power tools, and various small hand tools to assist in the production operations and assembly of various components. Packages components and assemblies for shipment to outside finishers and/or to customers.

    HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $19/hr. – $25/hr. plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).     $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Prepare work to be assembled, studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
    • Assemble parts for correct fit
    • Package product to meet standards
    • Use hand tools to assemble and measure required parts
    • Review parts, sub-assemblies, and final products
    • Check specifications by inspecting completed assemblies and reject if established quality standards are not met

    WHAT WE REQUIRE

    • High school diploma and/or GED certification
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings
    • Demonstrated mechanical abilities
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals
    • Ability to read a tape measure
    • Experience with various hand tools (manual and powered)
